Skerritt to lead global product management and strategic development, Verschoyle-King to head global sales & relationship management

NEW YORK, April 21, 2011 — BNY Mellon, the global leader in investment management and investment services, today announced two BNY Mellon Treasury Services leadership team appointments, with Susan Skerritt now leading Global Product Management & Strategic Development for Treasury Services, and Alan Verschoyle-King  named head of Global Sales & Relationship Management.  Both will report directly to J. David Cruikshank, chief executive officer of BNY Mellon Treasury Services.

Formerly head of business strategy, development and investment for BNY Mellon's Financial Markets and Treasury Services (FMTS) group, Skerritt replaces Al Briand, who assumed duties earlier this year as chief administrative officer for BNY Mellon's Corporate Trust business.  Verschoyle-King moves into his new role from his current position as head of BNY Mellon Treasury Services for EMEA.  Verschoyle-King 's replacement has not yet been announced; Skerritt's FMTS responsibilities will be assumed by Jean Wynn, chief administrative officer for FMTS.

"These appointments reflect our strategic emphasis on integrating treasury services innovations into client solutions on a truly global basis," said Karen Peetz, vice chairman and chief executive officer of BNY Mellon's Financial Markets and Treasury Services organization. "Susan's experience managing innovation projects at the group level is a perfect complement to Alan's experience managing treasury services delivery in global market spaces.  They are outstanding additions to our Treasury Services leadership team."

Skerritt moved to BNY Mellon in 2006 from Treasury Strategies, Inc., where as partner she was responsible for the Corporate Consulting practice.  Holding a BA from Hamilton College and an MBA from New York University, she has also served in treasury services-related positions with Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company, Ernst & Young and Morgan Stanley.  Verschoyle-King joined BNY Mellon in 2006 after six years with ABN AMRO Bank in London, where he served as Head of Working Capital Management for EMEA.  He has also held senior treasury services positions with Bank of America and Citibank.  He holds a law degree and MS in finance from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and contributor to industry publications.
