LONDON, March 8, 2011 — BNY Mellon Asset Servicing, the global leader in securities servicing, has announced the appointment of Sue Baines as Head of Sales for Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA).

Baines will have responsibility for asset servicing sales and marketing across the EMEA region. She will be based in London, reporting to Frank Froud, Head of EMEA for the Asset Servicing business.

Baines was formerly Senior Vice President, Head of GFS Sales, EMEA at Northern Trust and before that Deputy Head of Sales at Clearstream in Luxembourg. She also worked for over a decade at Barclays, specialising in securities at Barclays Global Securities Services and subsequently as Head of Customer Relations at Barclays Insurance.

The founder Chairperson of the International Capital Market Services Association, Baines is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and a member of the UK Society of Investment Professionals.
