BNY Mellon's Carol Andrews Named Among 'Most Influential Women' by Irish Voice

Sep 8, 2010

NEW YORK, September 8, 2010 — BNY Mellon announced that Carol Andrews, global head of client service for its Alternative Investment Services (AIS) group, has been honored by Irish Voice magazine in its third annual list of 'Most Influential Women.' The selection pays tribute to prominent Irish American women from across the U.S. for their success in the business world as well as their contributions to the community.

"Whether it's ownership of vital Irish American community businesses, a dedication to Irish culture, or success in some of the country's most renowned corporations, our Most Influential Women have done it all. And they've done so the old fashioned way – education, hard work and laser-like focus, with a healthy dose of Irish American pride for good measure," said Irish Voice senior editor Debbie McGoldrick.

Andrews, who relocated from Dublin to New York in 2009 when she assumed her role, is responsible for 40 employees based in Ireland, Luxembourg, Singapore and the U.S. With the rapid expansion of BNY Mellon's AIS business, Andrews returns often to Dublin to meet with her team and clients. She also is actively involved with BNY Mellon's Community Partnership Program, establishing an initiative in Ireland with the current Irish charity of the year, the Simon Community.

"Carol truly embodies the spirit of industriousness and 'giving back' that we associate with Irish the world over," said Brian Ruane, chief executive officer of BNY Mellon AIS. "We are thrilled to see her recognized and included among so many talented women leaders in America today."
