Experienced Investment Manager joins Global Equities Team

LONDON and NEW YORK, July 28, 2010 — Newton* has appointed Terry Coles as investment manager in its global equities team.

Coles joins from F&C Asset Management where he was a director within its global equities team. He has over 11 years of experience in investment management, and at F&C oversaw a range of mandates with over 800m pounds Sterling in assets under management. Prior to joining F&C he was a Portfolio Manager at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management, and part of a team that oversaw a doubling of assets in the flagship global equities fund. He holds a BSc in International Business from Western Carolina University and is a CFA Charterholder.
