Will lead the coordination and development of derivatives services across the company

NEW YORK, July 19, 2010 — BNY Mellon, the global leader in asset management and securities servicing, has appointed Patrick Tadie to the newly created role of global business head for the company's Derivatives360(SM) initiative, an integrated investment servicing solution that helps clients efficiently execute and manage derivatives transactions.

Tadie, who is an executive vice president, will oversee the coordination and development of derivatives services across multiple business lines in the company.  He reports to Art Certosimo, senior executive vice president and head of Alternative and Broker-Dealer Services at BNY Mellon.

Tadie, who joined the company in 2003 and is a member of the company's Operating Committee, was most recently executive vice president in charge of the Global Structured Credit Group within BNY Mellon Corporate Trust.  He has more than 24 years of industry experience and has served in a broad range of roles, including as portfolio manager for Freddie Mac, director of finance for First Union Capital Markets, and business manager of securitizations for Prudential Home Mortgage.  Tadie is a Certified Public Accountant and a past board member of the American Securitization Forum.

"We have a unique opportunity to integrate the derivatives services we offer to better serve the emerging needs of issuers and investors alike," said Certosimo.  "Patrick's experience in overseeing and managing our corporate trust services across a myriad of structured products and services will serve our clients and organization well as we deliver a coordinated and wide-ranging derivatives-related product set globally."

Whether clients are using derivatives as a hedging tool or as a separate investment strategy, Derivatives360 offers a broad array of services for issuers and investors around the execution and processing of derivatives. These include trading and execution, middle- and back-office outsourcing, collateral management, accounting and recordkeeping, reporting, and performance and risk analytics.  Derivatives360 also encompasses a range of outsourced services, including OTC trade affirmation and confirmation, trade settlement, independent (third-party) valuation, and counterparty and investment manager reconciliation.

"With the broad and unique set of products and services that we offer, we have a strong opportunity to help clients with end-to-end support before, during and after a trade, and to significantly increase our business presence and success in this important market segment," said Tadie.
