BNY Mellon Captures Two 'Service Provider of the Year' Awards from ICFA for Custody and Broker/Dealer Services

Jun 9, 2010

NEW YORK, June 9, 2010 — BNY Mellon, the global leader in asset management and securities servicing, announced that it was honored at ICFA's inaugural Americas Service Provider Awards (ASPAs) as 'Pension Fund Custodian of the Year' and 'Broker/Dealer Custody & Clearing Provider of the Year.' BNY Mellon also was highly commended in the 'Custodian of the Year' category.

The ASPAs were created by ICFA to recognize the steady growth and achievements of securities services providers in the Americas region. Winners in each of the 19 categories were decided by a panel of four U.S.-based experts.

"With the on-going convergence in the securities servicing industry, we're focused on bringing the best of our global capabilities to clients more efficiently," said Jim Palermo, co-chief executive officer of BNY Mellon Asset Servicing. "Independent recognition such as this only reinforces our belief that we have the right strategy in place and the right people to make it happen."

"We work hard to deliver value to clients seamlessly across all our business lines," said Art Certosimo, BNY Mellon's chief executive officer for Alternative and Broker-Dealer Services. "We're proud to have received two of these inaugural awards from ICFA and to have been nominated for our excellence in several more categories as well."

ICFA Magazine has been delivering in-depth and authoritative coverage of the investment back- and middle-office for over 12 years, providing readers with news, features, surveys and industry roundtables — the key source of market intelligence for the securities servicing industry.
