BNY Mellon Appoints James Malgieri as CEO of BNY Mellon Broker-Dealer Services

NEW YORK, April 12, 2010 — BNY Mellon, the global leader in asset management and securities servicing, has appointed James Malgieri as chief executive officer of Broker-Dealer Services.  BNY Mellon Broker-Dealer Services is the industry leader in collateral management solutions for dealers and investors and provides global securities clearance services in more than 100 markets globally.

Malgieri will report to Art Certosimo, senior executive vice president and head of Broker-Dealer and Alternative Investment Services at BNY Mellon.

Malgieri, who joined BNY Mellon in 2002, was most recently executive vice president and head of product management for Collateral Management Services, where he was responsible for strategic direction, product development and sales support globally.  He has over 25 years of industry experience and has been an active leader in several industry associations and initiatives, including the Securities Industry Association, Fixed Income Clearing Corporation, Bond Market Association, and the Payments Risk Committee Task Force on Tri-Party Repo Infrastructure.
