BNY Mellon Promotes Sheena Wilson to Global Head of Talent Strategy

NEW YORK, October 13, 2009 — BNY Mellon, the global leader in asset management and securities servicing, has appointed Sheena Wilson as its Global Head of Talent Strategy. Wilson will be based in London, and will oversee the company's global, integrated talent management priorities, including talent acquisition, employee and leadership development, the company's diversity and inclusion commitment, and employee engagement initiatives.

Wilson reports to Lisa B. Peters, senior executive vice president and chief human resources officer. "Talent strategy is enormously important to our global franchise, as effectively selecting and developing talent at every level of our organization is not an option, it is a management imperative," said Peters. In her prior role, Wilson served as CEO of BNY International Operations (India) Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of BNY Mellon in Pune, India. From 2006 to 2009 under Wilson's leadership, the company's operations in Pune grew rapidly into a center of excellence with some 1,600 operations professionals serving all of BNY Mellon's major global businesses.

Wilson joined BNY Mellon in 2002 serving first as head of human resources for the London-based Mellon International, where she was responsible for all aspects of human resources outside of North America. She has more than 30 years of multi-regional international experience in human resources management, management consulting, operations management and general management.

Prior to joining the company, Wilson was based in Baltimore, Maryland, as global head of HR for Sitel, a Business Process Outsourcing leader, operating in 27 countries.

Wilson is a member of BNY Mellon's Operating Committee, EMEA Operating Committee, Global Diversity Council, the Women's Initiatives Network (WIN) global Steering Group and the company's Benefits Administration Committee. During her time in India, Wilson was a member of the Securities and Investment Institute's India Regional Committee.

A native of England, whose home later became Australia; she received a political science degree from the University of Melbourne. This month, U.S. Banker recognized Wilson and more than a dozen of BNY Mellon's female executives for their leadership as a Top Banking Team in conjunction with the annual industry ranking of the 25 Most Powerful Women in Banking. In 2007, she was awarded a Global Superachievers Award by the Indira Group of Institutes for her contributions in the field of international human resources management.
