NEW YORK, October 13, 2009 — BNY Mellon, the global leader in asset management and securities servicing, has been selected by Andes Energia PLC (Andes Energia) as the depositary bank for its American depositary receipt (ADR) program. Each Andes Energia ADR represents fifty common shares and trades on the over-the-counter (OTC) market. The common shares trade on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange under the symbol "AEN."

Andes Energia is a Latin American energy group focusing on the Argentinean energy sector, active in the distribution of electricity, hydro-electric power generation and oil & gas exploration and production.
