One of the first such conversions under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009

NEW YORK, July 22, 2009 — The Bank of New York Mellon, (NYSE: BK) the global leader in asset management and securities servicing, has been appointed trustee and tender agent for San Francisco International Airport's conversion of $266 million alternative minimum tax (AMT) bonds to non-AMT bonds, one of the first such conversions to take place under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009.

In its role, The Bank of New York Mellon will provide a variety of services for the debt issue, including processing principal and interest payments and maintaining bondholder records.
