The Bank of New York Mellon Appoints Samir Pandiri to Head BNY Mellon Shareowner Services

NEW YORK, April 28, 2009 — The Bank of New York Mellon , the global leader in asset management and securities servicing, today announced the appointment of Samir Pandiri as chief executive officer of BNY Mellon Shareowner Services.

Formerly head of international Global Corporate Trust, Pandiri, 46, joined The Bank of New York Mellon in 2005 following corporate trust service in Hong Kong, London and New York with JPMorgan Chase and Bankers Trust. He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Chemical Engineering and an M.B.A. in Finance, all from Columbia University, New York.
