LONDON, November 6, 2007 — BNY Mellon Asset Servicing, the global leader in securities servicing, has been awarded two administration mandates by Jessop Fund Managers Limited for new fund ranges within the Jessop Personal Pensions Unit Trust (PPUT).

Jessop Fund Managers (JFM), a subsidiary of Vertex Administration Limited, earlier this month announced the successful transfer from Edinburgh Portfolio Ltd, a subsidiary of Aberdeen Asset Management PLC (Aberdeen), of the £162 million Edinburgh Portfolio Ltd personal pension plan, to JFM. The three new Aberdeen funds are valued at £162 million with 9,000 private investors, doubling JFM’s total funds under management to £291 million.

Under the new framework, Aberdeen retained its current investment management responsibility but JFM assumed the management responsibilities for the funds and the associated regulatory functions which accompany this.

For this group of funds in the Jessop PPUT, BNY Mellon Asset Servicing will provide a full range of services including transfer agency and fund accounting. Custody and trustee services will be provided through The Bank of New York Mellon’s joint venture, ABN AMRO Mellon Global Securities Services B.V.

David Child, managing director, Vertex Life, Pensions and Distribution, said: “We chose BNY Mellon Asset Servicing as our partner due to their cultural alignment with our strategy, commitment to service excellence and track record. The team has shown a deep understanding of our business strategy right from the start and demonstrated the flexibility we need in our partner as we grow our range of funds within the PPUT.”

“We are very pleased to be partnering with JFM at this important milestone in the company’s history,” said Nadine Chakar, executive vice president and head of EMEA at BNY Mellon Asset Servicing. “Our appointment is testimony to BNY Mellon Asset Servicing’s absolute commitment to this relationship and to offering a flexible bespoke service which fully meets the needs of each individual client. The synergies between our two organisations are tremendous and we hope to be able to continue to partner with JFM as they grow the PPUT and broaden the number of ranges it offers.”
