BNY Mellon Wealth Management Accepting Applications for Grants to Benefit Canonsburg Youths

PITTSBURGH, February 13, 2008 — BNY Mellon Wealth Management, a subsidiary of The Bank of New York Mellon, announced that it is accepting grant applications to fund organizations providing activities for Canonsburg-area youths.

Canonsburg native Ernest Q. Johnson established the fund to honor the memory of his parents, John G. and Annie K. M. Johnson, stipulating that the income from the Trust would be distributed to charitable, religious or educational organizations that promote the youth of Canonsburg and its immediate vicinity.

To apply, organizations must provide a formal written proposal requesting funding from the Ernest Q. Johnson Trust for a specific project or for general operating support. Please include a project description and dollar amount requested along with a copy of the organization's most recent financial statement and IRS 501(c)3 tax determination letter.

Proposals must be postmarked by Tuesday, April 15, 2008, and mailed to:
