LONDON, 17 June 2008 — BNY Mellon Asset Management has strengthened its UK institutional sales team with the appointment of Luke O'Donnell as Senior Account Manager in its Pooled Pension & DC Group. Based in London, O'Donnell will report to Ian Harvey, Head of Pooled Pensions.

O'Donnell will be responsible for maintaining and developing Pooled Pension and Defined Contribution (DC) business and servicing current clients. He has over 20 years experience, with the majority of his career spent in sales and client service roles at both Morgan Grenfell Asset Management Ltd and Société Générale Asset Management S.A. O'Donnell's most recent appointment was Client Director at Société Générale Asset Management S.A.

Ian Harvey said the appointment comes at a time when BNY Mellon Asset Management is boosting its commitment to DC schemes: "DC schemes have seen rapid growth in the UK in the past few years as companies move away from defined benefit arrangements. We are delighted to bring Luke on board to assist in the development of client relationships in this area.

"Luke brings a wealth of experience and strong industry relationships to the role. Luke will work alongside the team in servicing clients across most product strategies and will also take part in business development," Harvey added.
