Catherine Doyle appointed to newly created role

LONDON, 17 October 2008 — BNY Mellon Asset Management has appointed Catherine Doyle as Deputy Head of Pooled Funds and Defined Contribution (DC). The appointment is a newly created position within the BNY Mellon Asset Management UK Pooled Funds team.

Based in London, Doyle will report to Ian Harvey, Head of UK Pooled Funds and Defined Contribution for BNY Mellon Asset Management.

Doyle will be responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships for the group's Pooled Funds and DC pension services. She will also work closely with Ian Harvey in the development of BNY Mellon's DC product offering.

Commenting on the appointment, Ian Harvey said: "The group has over 25 years' experience as a pooled fund provider, offering both a Defined Contribution as well as a Defined Benefit service. We believe our model is ideally structured to provide ?best in class' pooled fund solutions to meet the needs of pension investors. With our structure, investment solutions can be added to meet client demand so the business is continually evolving to meet the changing investment needs of institutional investors. This flexibility is important as DC schemes in the UK continue to grow as companies move away from defined benefit arrangements."

Doyle was previously Institutional Client Service Manager and Product Specialist for five years at Franklin Templeton in London. During her time at Franklin Templeton she helped establish a London-based client service department for EMEA institutional clients. Doyle has also held positions as an investment analyst at GAM and Bank Sarasin.

Doyle is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder and also holds a MBA from Profingest Business School in Italy. She has a BA Honours Degree in French from King's College, London University.

The boutique asset managers within BNY Mellon Asset Management are independent and focus entirely on managing money to provide investment excellence to clients.
