NEW YORK, July 10, 2007 — The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation today announced that its Board of Directors declared a quarterly dividend of 24 cents per share on the outstanding shares of the Company's common stock. The dividend is payable on August 3, 2007, to holders of record as of the close of business on July 25, 2007.

The Bank of New York Company, Inc. and Mellon Financial Corporation completed their merger on July 1, 2007. Both companies paid a dividend of 22 cents per share in the second quarter of 2007.
