NEW YORK, April 30, 2008 — The Women's Bond Club (WBC) has selected Karen Peetz as the recipient of its 2008 Merit Award, which each year is given to a woman in finance who is recognized for her contributions to the industry and support of women's diversity issues in the workplace. The award was presented last night at the WBC's annual Merit Award Dinner held at Chelsea Piers in New York.

Ms. Peetz is senior executive vice president of The Bank of New York Mellon's Global Corporate Trust business, the leading provider of corporate trust services worldwide.
