EAU CLAIRE, WISC. (June 20, 2018) – BMO Harris Bank today announced that it will be opening its latest Smart Branch, which will be located at 228 Water St. in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The new branch, which replaces the BMO Harris branch located at 301 Water St., will be open for business on Monday, July 16.

“We’re extremely excited to provide our customers with a new and engaging environment that brings together high-tech convenience and personal service,” said Zachary Zank, Branch Manager, BMO Harris Bank.  “The new branch format provides customers with digital experiences that fit everyday lifestyles while freeing up branch teams to spend more time engaging with customers.”

“On behalf of the entire team in Eau Claire, I’d like to thank our customers for their incredible support as we make this transition,” added Laura Talley, Market President, Commercial Banking, Chippewa Valley, BMO Harris Bank. “The drive-up branch located across the street from our 301 Water Street branch will continue to be in operation until the new Smart Branch is open.  Also, we’d like to thank the local authorities for their incredible assistance and support over the past few weeks.”

BMO has been heavily focused on investing in both its digital and physical channels to enhance every customer touch point. Some of the conveniences and amenities that can be found at this Smart Branch include:

    • Bankers equipped with laptops to help customers with the new bank technology and provide assistance for their financial needs.
    • The ability for bankers to issue debit/ATM cards instantly in the branch.
    • WiFi to allow customers the convenience of using mobile devices to conduct their banking.
