    BMO Wealth Management Appoints New National Head of Wealth Planning

    CHICAGO, December 21, 2017 – BMO Wealth Management (U.S.) today announced the appointment of Tania Slade as National Head of Wealth Planning; guiding a team of Regional Leaders of Planning across the bank’s key markets.

    In her new role, Slade is responsible for strategic development and providing customized financial planning solutions to high-net-worth individuals and families. Originally from Toronto Ontario, she joined BMO in 1999 and has more than twenty years of experience in financial planning. Slade is based in Chicago and reports to Caroline Dabu, Head of Enterprise Wealth Planning. She also serves as a member of the national senior leadership team under Darrel Hackett, President, BMO Wealth Management (U.S.).

    Tania brings a number of distinctions to her role that she has earned over the years. In addition to being a CFA charter holder, she is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM), and a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI). The Fellow of CSI is the pinnacle of financial services credentials and the highest honor in the Canadian Securities Institute. It is reserved for an exclusive group of financial professionals who demonstrate unparalleled leadership, integrity, commitment and dedication to their clients and industry.

    Tania remains actively involved in her industry. Prior to moving to Chicago, she was the chairperson of the Personal Financial Planning Council at the Canadian Securities Institute from 2010 – 2014. She is also still a member of the Financial Services Program Advisory Committee at Seneca College – her alma mater.
