SEASON OPENER GAME BALL TAKES UNIQUE JOURNEY
BMO Harris Sponsors GBR13 to Raise Funds
for SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center

ST. LOUIS, April 4, 2013 - The ball used for the ceremonial first pitch at the St. Louis Cardinal's season opener on April 8 will have a unique journey before it ever makes it to the ball park. The ball will weave through the streets of St. Louis, carried by a legion of celebrities, Cardinal's fans, and patients from SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center.

BMO Harris Bank is the presenting sponsor of Game Ball Relay (GBR13), which will be unlike any other major league baseball home opener. The relay is part of the second annual Homers for Health fundraising effor ts of Matt Holliday, David Freese and Allen Craig and will benefit the kids cared for at SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center.

The ball will begin its route at the Rawlings World Headquarters in Chesterfield and eventually reach Busch Stadium in time for the home opener ceremonial first pitch. Among those carrying the ball through the streets of St. Louis will be Cardinals Hall of Fame shortstop, Ozzie Smith; Olympian, World Champion runner and former Cardinal Glennon patient Craig Virgin, and several patients and their caregivers.

"We are a long-time partner with Cardinal Glennon and so supporting them through GBR13 was a natural choice," said Dino Cannella, Senior Vice President of BMO Private Bank. "Knowing Cardinals fans and the rich baseball history in St. Louis, we are sure this will become of the biggest opening day celebrations across the major leagues."

The ball will be carried through Cardinal Glennon, where fans will be invited to join the relay for the final leg downtown ending at a pep rally outside Union Station.
