    BMO Harris Raises Funds for Friends of Kids with Cancer

    ST. LOUIS, April 3, 2013 - BMO Harris Bank recently raised over $8,000 for Friends of Kids with Cancer. The funds were raised by employees, customers and community members who donated to this important cause at BMO Harris branches in the St. Louis area. BMO Harris has raised nearly $85,000 for the organization through branch collections over the past 7 years in our "Touch the Heart of a Child" campaign.

    "Friends of Kids with Cancer is an important asset to our community helping the kids when they need it most which is why we have been supporting them for so many years," said Kim Weishaupt, Senior Vice President, BMO Harris Bank.

    "I'm always amazed at the creative ways the various BMO Harris branches display the hearts promoting our cause. They all truly give from their hearts," said Judy Ciapciak, Executive Director of Friends of Kids with Cancer. "It is these types of corporate relationships that allow us to provide important services to these special kids and their families in St. Louis."

    Friends of Kids with Cancer is devoted to enriching the daily lives of children undergoing treatment for cancer and blood related diseases. Their mission is to be an advocate for these special kids and provide them and their families with the recreational, educational, and emotional support needed throughout the long hours of chemotherapy, illness and isolation.
