BMO Private Bank Appraisal Reception Held For Clients' Treasures

BMO Private Bank Appraisal Reception Held For Clients' Treasures
Leslie Hindman Auctioneers note worth of jewelry, paintings, books and furniture

West Palm Beach, Fl (March 11, 2013) – Clients and friends arrived with heirloom silver, treasured family keepsakes and fine jewelry to have their valuables professionally evaluated by famed Leslie Hindman Auctioneers at a special “Cocktails and Appraisals” reception recently held in the offices of BMO Private Bank in West Palm Beach.

With paintings, rare books, manuscripts and jewelry in tow, clients and friends were welcomed by Michael J. Dyer, Certified Financial Planner and Managing Director of BMO Private Bank and his staff. As guests made their way to several private offices transformed into professional appraisal suites for the occasion, they were treated to music by a classical guitarist, hors d’oeuvres and camaraderie. Over 175 people attended the event.

“We have been receiving more and more inquiries about the value of assets for both portfolio and estate purposes,” noted Dyer. “We decided to bring one of the nation’s most highly respected appraisers to our clients, so they would not only have the correct value of their most treasured items for investment purposes, but also so they could have them insured properly. These appraisals provide accurate information so our clients can decide to keep these items for their heirs or to liquidate these assets to make way for other investments.”

According to Dyer, the event was like an “Antiques Roadshow” reception, where clients brought in such pieces as 18th Century chairs, paintings they had acquired on their travels and jewelry inherited from their ancestors.

“And just like the PBS television show, we had some people who were thrilled to learn the value of their treasures and others who were not. BMO Private Bank was pleased to present this experience – and the expertise of one of the leading authorities in the appraisal world, to our clients here in West Palm Beach,” Dyer concluded.
