BMO Financial Group Completes Rebranding of its U.S. Private Bank in Florida market

BMO Financial Group Completes Rebranding of its U.S. Private Bank in Florida market

BMO Private Bank now has a team of more than 1,250 professionals working out of 57 offices across 13 states, including three in Florida

NAPLES (March 8, 2013) – BMO Financial Group recently completed the re-branding of its U.S. private bank in Florida. The new BMO Private Bank combined Harris Private Bank and part of M&I Wealth Management, serving Florida with offices in Sarasota, Naples and West Palm Beach.

“Since 2010, we’ve almost doubled the size of our private banking presence in the United States,” said Terry Jenkins, President and CEO, BMO Private Bank, U.S. “The new brand reflects this expanded presence and our ability to deliver a superb client experience and tailored proactive advice, all backed by the global reach and expertise of BMO Financial Group.”

Established in 1817 as Bank of Montreal, BMO Financial Group (TSX, NYSE: BMO) is a highly diversified financial services organization. With total assets of $525 billion as of October 31, 2012, and more than 46,000 employees, BMO provides a broad range of retail banking, wealth management and investment banking products and solutions. Bank of Montreal acquired Harris Bankcorp, Inc. in 1984 and Marshall & Ilsley Corporation in 2011.

Harris Private Bank, a part of BMO Financial Group, expanded to Florida in 1979, when it opened its West Palm Beach location offering trust services. M&I Wealth Management first established an investment and trust company presence in Naples in 1985. Since that time, the two organizations have expanded their wealth management and private banking offerings in Florida – providing comprehensive and integrated wealth management services in the southeast and southwest coasts of the state.

“The rebranding to BMO Private Bank provides comprehensive and integrated wealth management services on both the Gulf and Atlantic Coasts,” concluded Jack Kuhn, Senior Vice President, Regional Manager for BMO Private Bank. “Our local professionals have deep roots in the communities they serve, have extensive backgrounds in the financial services industry and, through BMO Financial Group, have an international reach. Our one common denominator is that our professionals go the distance to better serve our clients.”

Michael J. Dyer, Managing Director for BMO Privat e Bank in West Palm Beach, concluded, “We are continuing to attract top talent, and we’re very excited about the value proposition that we offer to advisors. Whether you’re in West Palm Beach, Naples or Sarasota, BMO Private Bank’s people provide a consistent approach – providing our clients with the same superb experience across Florida.”
