    PITTSBURG SCHOOLS TO SHARE $15,000 DONATION
    BMO Harris Bank Supports Elementary Education

    PITTSBURG, KS (Nov. 29, 2012) – What's one of the easiest ways to get elementary school kids excited about learning? Pittsburg Superintendent of Schools, Destry Brown, hopes that it is by telling them that they will soon be getting an iPad. Brown was thrilled when BMO Harris Bank recently told him they would like to make a $15,000 donation to support five Pittsburg elementary schools.

    Brown worked with each school to de termine how best to use the funds. Four of the benefitting schools: George Nettels Elementary, Lakeside Elementary, Meadowlark Elementary, and Westside Elementary, chose to use their funds to purchase iPads for their students to use during the school day. St. Mary's Elementary will buy books to supplement their core curriculum with their portion of the donation.

    Brown commented, "We are thankful for the generosity of BMO Harris Bank so that we can continue to place more technology in the hands of our students.  The learning applications available to us through the iPads are very engaging for our students and allow them the opportunity to learn in an active way."
