    BMO Harris Bank Partners with Stanley Steemer for "Tired Teddies" Toy Drive
    Used stuffed animals will be collected at branches and cleaned by Stanley Steemer for children in need

    ST. LOUIS (November 12, 2012) ) – Used stuffed animals will get a second chance this holiday season, thanks to the third annual “Tired Teddies” toy drive sponsored by BMO Harris Bank and Stanley Steemer.

    Families in the communities can drop off used stuffed animals to any BMO Harris Bank branch in the St. Louis metro area, and Stanley Steemer will pick up the donated toys each week for cleaning and sanitizing. The “refreshed teddies” will be donated to the highway patrol, children’s hospitals, the Salvation Army and other local organizations for distribution throughout the holiday season.

    “We look forward to warming the hearts of children with these pre-loved fuzzy friends in this partnership with Stanley Steemer,” said Mary Brockhaus, Senior Vice President. “Over the past couple of years, we’ve collected over 100,000 toys, and appreciate the community’s continued support through their donations of outgrown toys that we help find a new home.”

    The “Tired Teddies” toy drive runs November 15 through December 15 at any of BMO Harris’ 16 branch locations in the St. Louis metro area.

    “This toy drive is unique in that the focus is on recycling abandoned stuffed companions rather than asking people to spend money on new items,” said Phil Dean, President Stanley Steemer. “It doesn’t cost people anything to donate, and they teach their children an important lesson about giving.”
