    Arizona BMO Employees Want to Make a Difference

    PHOENIX, AZ (June 5, 2012) - Arizona employees of M&I, Harris Private Bank, and Stoker Ostler, all a part of BMO Financial Group, are setting out to make a difference. On June 7, approximately 425 volunteers from BMO Financial Group will be taking time away from their desk to help out their local communities. Twenty-four organizations, providing services ranging from feeding the hungry to caring for sick children and writing to military men and women serving abroad, will benefit from their efforts.

    WHAT: Specific service activities vary by location. Examples include blanket making for the needy, thank-you card creating for overseas troops, book sorting at the Phoenix Public Library, and preparing and serving food at a St. Vincent de Paul dining hall.     These activities are part of BMO Volunteer Day in which more than 6,500 BMO Financial Group employees across North America will be participating in over 400 projects to improve their communities. BMO Volunteer Day is an initiative that encourages employees to recognize the needs of their local community, establish a volunteer project and mobilize teams to fill that need. This is the first North American-wide BMO Volunteer Day, which initially started with efforts at both M&I in 2001 and Harris and BMO Capital Markets in 2007.
