    Harris Nesbitt Hosts Focus on Healthcare Investor Conference

    Conference will Bring Together Leading Companies in Biotechnology, Medical Technology and Healthcare Services Sectors

    NEW YORK, December 5, 2005 - Harris Nesbitt, the U.S. investment and corporate banking arm of BMO Financial Group (NYSE, TSX: BMO), will host its fifth annual Focus on Healthcare conference today from 8 am to 5 pm at the Millennium Broadway Hotel in New York City. The institutional investor event brings together experts from more than 40 leading companies who will present their views and insights on the biotechnology, medical technology and healthcare service sectors.

    Highlights from today's conference include a keynote luncheon presentation by Tommy Thompson, the former Health and Human Services Secretary, four-term Governor of Wisconsin, current Chairman of the Deloitte Center for Heal th Solutions and partner at the law firm of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld. Also of note, the conference will feature biotechnology panel discussions with 10 additional companies on the topics of pharmacogenomics and stem-cell based medicine
