    Harris Nesbitt Hires Eric Schubert to Lead Structured Finance for Loan Products Group

    CHICAGO, November 21, 2005 - Harris Nesbitt, the U.S. investment and corporate banking arm of BMO Financial Group (NYSE, TSX: BMO), today announced it has hired Eric Schubert as managing director and head of Structured Finance. Schubert will report to Surjit Rajpal, head of Loan Products, and will be based in Chicago.

    "We are extremely pleased to have Eric join our organization," said Rajpal. "With nearly 25 years of strong industry experience, he will be a great asset to us as we continue to strengthen our structured and syndicated finance capabilities."

    Schubert joins the organization with nearly 25 years of experience in investment and corporate banking at Bank of America and its predecessors, specializing in leveraged and complex financings. Prior to joining Harris Nesbitt, Schubert was a managing director and led a team of professionals that provided structuring and syndications expertise to Bank of America's middle market banking groups in the Midwest and on the West Coast. He holds a bachelor's degree in Engineering and Economics from Brown University and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business.
