Banner – University Medical Center Tucson welcomed the newest member of its family this morning at 1:02 a.m. Luz Gutierrez Payan gave birth to Carlos Orellana Gutierrez, her seventh child, who weighed 6 lbs. 15 oz. Baby Carlos was the first baby born at the hospital in 2021.

The labor and delivery team presented the family with two new baby baskets filled with gift cards, baby clothes, stuffed toys, diapers and baby bottles.

The family is resting and not available for media interviews.
