GREELEY, Colo. (Dec. 29, 2020) – As COVID-19 case rates continue to decline in Colorado and Wyoming, Banner Health will again allow limited numbers of visitors (12 years of age or older) in its facilities. Some restrictions remain in place to create a safe and secure environment for our patients and our health care workers. We understand this will be challenging, but we’re committed to take the necessary steps to protect you, your family, our health care workers and the community.
Effective Wednesday, December 30, most patients will be permitted to have one visitor per day. Visiting hours will be from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
There are four exceptions to the visitor restrictions:
- Pediatric patients (under the age of 18) may have one guardian or support individual with them in addition to one visitor per day.
- Persons with disabilities who, due to the specifics of the disability, require assistance from someone in order to effectively participate in the health care process will be allowed to designate a support person to accompany them while in any Banner facility. These patients may have one visitor per day in addition to their support person.
- Moms in labor and delivery may have a support person and visitor. Doulas are also are permitted for laboring mothers in addition to their support person and visitor. Doulas must leave immediately following the birth.
- No visits are permitted for COVID-19 or COVID-19 suspected patients unless patient is at end of life.
Everyone who enters a Banner Health facility is subject to a health screening to ensure they are not exhibiting symptoms of respiratory illness. In addition, they must have their own mask which should be worn at all times while inside Banner facilities. Visits must take place in the patients’ rooms. Visitors are not permitted to enter and leave the hospital multiple times throughout the same 24-hour period.
This visitation policy is in effect for all Banner facilities in Colorado and Wyoming, including outpatient and ambulatory locations, such as: clinics, urgent cares, imaging centers, surgery centers and occupational health services locations.
