BERTHOUD, Colo. (Sept. 12, 2019) —Aaron Schmucker, FNP-C, has joined the Banner Health Clinic in Berthoud where he will provide primary care.

As a family nurse practitioner, Schmucker is skilled in treating everyone from birth to his oldest patient, who was 104. He is highly trained in a wide range of services including wellness checks, sports physicals, blood work and referrals to specialists or for emergency care as needed. His knowledge, combined with 18 years of experience, provides patients complete care.

“It’s a collaborative approach with all patients, discussing what’s going on and then determining a plan of care that is mutually agreed upon,” Schmucker said. “I try to explain healthcare options the best that I can to patients and come to a mutually agreed-upon course of action. I will also ask if there’s anything else I can do for my patients.”

Schmucker attended Walden University, an online learning program based in Minneapolis, where he obtained a master’s degree in nursing. Before receiving his degree, Schmucker worked as a registered nurse in a community medical center cardiac lab. Schmucker is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and a member of the Northern Colorado Nurse Practitioner Coalition.

Schmucker’s passion is caring for children. He is excited about the variety that his new role will bring and the opportunity to investigate and determine what is ailing his patients.

In his free time, Schmucker enjoys caring for his three horses, hiking and camping.
