FORT COLLINS, Colo. (July 2, 2019) – Banner Health is pleased to announce the addition of Mariana Petrozzi, MD, to Banner Health specializing in pulmonary and critical care in Fort Collins.
Dr. Petrozzi will treat adult and geriatric patients for in-lung nodules, lung cancer, bronchoscopy and more. The physiology and pathophysiology of the lungs and how they work within the human body is what sparked Dr. Petrozzi’s passion for providing pulmonary care to patients.
“The Banner Northern Colorado Pulmonary Medicine service line continues to develop innovative services in response to the ever-increasing complexity and size of the region which we proudly serve,” said David Cowden, MD, who specializes in critical care and pulmonary medicine. “The comprehensive lung program provides expert care within complex lung care, pulmonary hypertension (partnered with the Cardiovascular Institute, and lung cancer care (with Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center at McKee Medical Center and North Colorado Medical Center). Growth within the pulmonary medicine division reflects our need to recruit talented individuals with experience in specialized care. Across the board, we have an exceptional team.”
Dr. Petrozzi attended Case Western Revere University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio, earning a doctor of medicine. Dr. Petrozzi is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine.
“I treat my patients the same way I treat my family with a comprehensive approach,” Dr. Petrozzi said. “Collaboration and education are of utmost importance in order to provide effective patient care.”
Dr. Petrozzi enjoys running, working out, hiking and horseback riding in her free time. She is fluent in Spanish and English and looks forward to meeting new patients in the area.
