Banner Casa Grande foundation invites public to benefit runs, walk Feb. 2
Event to take place at Central Arizona College in Coolidge
“It’s great to see the community come out and support a great cause every year,” said Kaitee Doll-Bell, director of the Casa Grande Community Hospital Foundation. “This year we have a beautiful, new multi-year race medal, as well as race merchandise we’ll have for sale. In addition to all that, if people are not able to participate in the race but would still love to give back, we have our ‘Dreaming for Charity’ option that lets people support the cause without having to be present. All they have to do is sign up for the event.”

CASA GRANDE (Jan. 17, 2019) – If your New Year’s resolution includes getting in shape for 2019 and helping to give back to a great cause, you’re in luck! Banner Casa Grande Community Hospital Foundation invites the public to participate in its 6th annual 5K, half marathon and 1-mile walk. This event will take place on Saturday, Feb. 2, at Central Arizona College, 8470 N. Overfield Road in Coolidge. Times are as follows: Half marathon begins at 7:30 a.m.; 5K run begins at 7:45 a.m.; and 1-mile walk begins at 8 a.m.

In addition to the health benefits for participants, proceeds from this event will also help save lives. Money raised will go toward supporting uninsured and underinsured mammogram patients who seek treatment at Banner Casa Grande Breast Center. The center provides a compassionate environment that coordinates, educates and manages all breast-related health issues.

Registration for the 1-mile walk is $30; the 5K marathon is $40; and the half marathon is $70. Those prices will increase slightly if participants decide to register on Friday, Feb. 1, or Saturday, Feb. 2. Various sponsorships for the race are also available, ranging in price starting at $150 up to $5,000.
