TORRINGTON, Wyo. (January 16, 2019) – Banner Medical Group is expanding its family practice care in Torrington with the addition of Monica Teichert, D.N.P, who will treat patients at the Banner Health Family Medicine Clinic.

As a family provider, Teichert will assist patients of all ages with comprehensive care including well-check visits, sick visits and the management of chronic diseases. With a passion for family medicine, she is excited to provide health education and guidance to patients ranging from children to seniors.

“I believe in utilizing a multidisciplinary team for a well-rounded patient experience and to optimize treatment outcomes,” said Teichert. “Using proven practice guidelines and changes in health behavior, I try to promote preventative medicine and decrease the risk of chronic disease.”

Teichert attended medical school at the University of Wyoming, earning a Doctor of Nursing Practice. While at the University of Wyoming, her leadership skills combined with academic achievements earned her the Jonas Nurse Leader Scholar, Leadership Program.

When Teichert is not treating patients, she enjoys riding horses and team roping competitively with her husband. A cowgirl at heart, she cares for cows, horses and dogs on their property.
