PHOENIX (July 18, 2018) – Banner Health recently announced changes to the organization’s facility leadership teams at Banner Gateway and Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center in Gilbert, Ariz. and Banner Baywood and Banner Heart Hospital in Mesa, Ariz.

Herring to take over COO role at Banner Gateway and Banner MD Anderson

Mike Herring, who’s been serving as chief nursing officer (CNO) for Banner Payson Medical Center, will take over the chief operations officer (COO) role vacated by Gardner at Banner Gateway as of July 23. With this move, he returns to the campus he once served as CNO.

Gardner named COO of Banner Baywood Medical Center and Banner Heart Hospital

Robert Gardner, chief operations officer (COO) of Banner Gateway and Banner MD Anderson has been named COO of Banner Baywood Medical Center and Banner Heart Hospital as of July 23, allowing him to expand his expertise in leading additional service lines such as orthopedics and cardiology.
