GREELEY, Colo. (Oct. 3, 2017) – North Colorado Medicine Center (NCMC) nurses are participating in the upcoming Walk to Remember this weekend in honor of families that have experienced fetal or infant loss.

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, and the annual Walk to Remember supports families that have experienced such a loss. Labor and delivery, neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and postpartum nurses from NCMC are helping to coordinate the walk as well as volunteering to support those families they have directly worked that have experienced this tremendous loss.

The Walk to Remember event will take place Oct. 7, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Glenmere Park, located off of 14th Avenue and Lakeside Drive.

The event is free and open to the public. The walk includes refreshments, music, a candle lighting ceremony and a balloon release. In case of inclement weather, the event will be moved to the ground floor auditorium at NCMC, 1801 16th St. in Greeley.
