FORT COLLINS, Colo. (Sept. 7, 2017) – Officials with Banner Health Center in Fort Collins are pleased to announce the completion of the center’s expansion. After eight months of construction, the center has doubled in size and will add providers and specialty practices to continue serving the growing medical needs in Fort Collins.

Our neighbors in this area have enthusiastically accepted our providers, and we are excited to grow into our new space with plans to add family medicine services and expand our access for pediatric, OB-GYN, and specialty services. We look forward to creating new relationships and strengthening existing relationships with our terrific patients,” said Gina Valenti, executive director for Banner Medical Group.
Located on the Banner Fort Collins Medical Center campus, the expanded health center officially opens to patients Monday, Sept. 11, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The health center will house a total of 24 providers, including primary care and specialty doctors, 12 clinical support staff, RNs and technicians as well as 11 office support staff.
One of the center providers, urologist Kurt Strom, MD, said “We are thrilled to be building new and comfortable clinic spaces for our patients where they can receive the best care in a relaxing and healing setting.”
With the original square footage at 7,414, the health center now stands at 14,953 with shelled space for an additional 11,091 square feet for a future phase-three project. With the expansion, the health center has 32 exam rooms and three procedure rooms to accommodate an expected doubling in patient volumes.
On average, providers at the health center serve 365 OB-GYN patients, 340 pediatric patients and 200 internal medicine patients a month.
In addition to adding four providers to help serve the increasing family practice, internal medicine, OB-GYN and pediatric needs, the health center offers specialty providers in cardiology, pulmonology, urology, general surgery, neurosurgery, gastrointestinal and sleep medicine.
