New Banner providers practicing in Colorado

GREELEY, Colo. (Aug. 22, 2017) – Banner Health has added three new health care providers to serve patients in Northern Colorado.

Kathi Patterson, NP, is a nurse practitioner specializing in general neurology. She will be based at Banner Health Clinic, 2923 Ginnala Drive, Loveland, and also see patients in Greeley and Fort Collins.

Patterson has her master’s degree in neuroscience nursing from the University of Washington in Seattle and completed post master’s studies as a family nurse practitioner at Maryville University in St. Louis. She is board certified as a family nurse practitioner and a clinical nurse specialist.

“Medicine is a team sport,” Patterson said. Excellent patient care take a concerted effort of many health care providers as well as the patient. “As a nurse practitioner with a background in neurology, my focus is still on the patient as a whole person,” she said.

In her spare time, Patterson enjoys mountain and road biking, skiing, running, pottery, yoga and gardening. She has lived in Northern Colorado for 20 years and has two grown sons and a school-aged daughter.

Matthew Gray, MD, will provide interventional pain management along with physical medicine and rehabilitation care at multiple locations including Banner Health Clinic specializing in Interventional Pain and Spine, 1800 15th St. Suite 100B, Greeley, and Banner Health Clinic specializing in Orthopedics and Interventional Pain, 2555 E. 13th St. Suite 105, Loveland.

Dr. Gray specializes in chronic pain and uses multiple treatment methods that are aimed at increasing function and quality of life for his patients.

He attended medical school at the University of Toledo, College of Medicine in Toledo, Ohio, and completed an internship at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio, and residency at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He completed a fellowship there through the Department of Anesthesiology Pain Medicine. He is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and board eligible for Pain Medicine.

In his spare time, Dr. Gray enjoys participating in and watching a variety of sports. He enjoys live music, hiking, mountain biking, backpacking, science, health and nutrition.

Samantha Skelton, CNM, DNP, is a certified-nurse midwife who will provide obstetrics and gynecologic care at Banner Health Clinic, 608 E. Harmony Road, Suite 101 in Fort Collins.

She is board certified in midwifery and specializes in providing health care for women throughout their lives empowering them to make decisions that fit best within their needs and desires.

In her spare time she enjoys hiking, camping, fishing, kayaking and experiencing the outdoors with her family.
