FORT COLLINS, Colo. (Aug. 9, 2017) – The Banner Health Structural Heart & Valve Clinic opened its doors in Fort Collins on July 26 to provide specialize heart care close to home for many patients. The clinic offers treatment and evaluations for patients who have defects involving the heart valves or chambers in Larimer County, Windsor, Wyoming and surrounding areas.

Clinic staff includes a Banner Health cardiologist, cardiac surgeon, nurse practitioner, and medical assistant. All medical team members rotate between the new Fort Collins clinic and the existing Structural Heart & Valve Clinic in Greeley.

“Although this technology isn’t new to the medical world, we are excited to bring this type of structural heart technology and convenience to patients in Fort Collins,” said Derek Strader, regional director for Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Services for Banner Health in Northern Colorado. “We are excited to have this highly-trained team with a passion for serving the community at our disposal in Larimer County.”

“With our team now serving patients in Fort Collins and Larimer County, people can still receive quality care from the Banner Health system, but can now be evaluated and treated closer to home with less travel,” said Jodi Olson, FNP-C, CVNP-BC, structural heart and valve disease program coordinator. “We are invested in our patients, offering a team approach and are dedicated to finding the right treatment path for our patients and their families.”

The clinic’s multidisciplinary team offers everything from blood work, detailed consults and heart health education, non-invasive pre-operative testing and physical exams. The Banner Health Structural Heart & Valve clinic is located at 4700 Lady Moon Drive. Fort Collins, Colorado.
