University Specialist Providing Outpatient GYN Surgery at Green Valley Hospital

TUCSON, Ariz. (July 10, 2017) -- A Banner – University Medical Center urogynecologist specializing in female pelvic surgery will perform outpatient surgeries at the Green Valley Hospital.  

John Heusinkveld, MD, an assistant professor in the University of Arizona Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the Banner – University Medical Group, specializes in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery.

In addition to providing regular well-woman care in Green Valley, he specializes in laparoscopic surgery for the treatment of pelvic floor prolapse, pelvic pain and urinary incontinence.

Dr. Heusinkveld is now able to offer most of these surgeries at the Green Valley Hospital where he recently received hospital privileges. He will perform more complex surgical cases at Banner – UMC Tucson.

Dr. Heusinkveld obtained his medical degree from Vanderbilt University and completed his obstetrics-gynecology residency at the University of Arizona. In 2013, he was a member of the first group of gynecologic surgeons to certified in the newly established subspecialty of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery.
