PHOENIX - March 17, 2018 - The PARTNER 3 trial results were announced at the American College of Cardiology scientific meeting in New Orleans on Sunday, March 17. 

The study looked at whether patients with aortic stenosis, or a narrowing and stiffening of the heart valve, who are at low-risk for valve replacement via open heart surgery get similar or better results with Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR). Previous studies have shown that patients at high risk for surgery are suitable for this procedure.
