PHOENIX (Mar. 26, 2018) – Banner Health has opened an onsite Medspa at its Banner Health Center at Desert Ridge; the first time Arizona’s largest health care system has built its own original MedSpa.

Banner Health Center Medspa offers a full spectrum of services including facials, photo-facials, skin peels, skin pen or micro-needling, laser-skin resurfacing, laser-hair removal, as well as a curated collection of innovative and clinically tested skin care products.

Patients can be treated for skin conditions such as visible facial veins and capillaries, wrinkles, sun damage, scars, rosacea and stretch marks through a Lamprobe, a non-invasive cosmetic procedure that uses a small medical instrument. Prices for Lamprobe begin at $50.

No insurance authorization is necessary for services.

The medspa is led by licensed aesthetician Mandi Robinson who has more than 15 years of experience. Robinson is also a state-certified laser technician. Her training and certification allow her to provide more advanced types of services.

In addition to Robinson’s expertise, the medspa also offers quicker access to a board-certified dermatologist who is on staff at the adjacent Banner Health Center. Chao Li, MD, can be available for a consult for a suspicious looking spots that could be discovered during an aesthetic treatment.

“It’s a marriage between medical care and aesthetics,’’ Robinson said. “It is a beautiful collaboration.’’
