MESA, AZ (May 13, 2020) – In honor of National Hospital Week and Nurses Week, physicians and staff working on the frontlines at Banner Desert Medical Center and Banner Children’s at Cardon Children’s Medical Center were recently recognized with an illumination on both hospital buildings, acknowledging the exceptional work provided and sacrifices made by the medical teams during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Tempe-based Karma Event Productions generously donated the resources to help make this event happen, which included lighting both patient towers with pictures and moving art. Banner Health’s Brand Advertising team used illustrations from its current advertising campaign theme, "Thank You for Giving Us Hope," to help illuminate the buildings at night so that hospital staff and passersby could see the tribute as it played.

Laura Robertson, chief executive officer of Banner Desert and Cardon Children’s was honored and grateful that this display was provided to honor the hospital staff. Robertson said, "This is absolutely amazing! I loved the pictures and the message to our staff.  I am so excited to have this for our teams!"
