GILBERT, Ariz. (Feb.9, 2018) -- Michael A. Choti, MD, MBA, FACS has been named the division chief of surgery at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center in Gilbert, Ariz.

An internationally recognized pancreatic-hepatobiliary surgeon and surgical oncologist, Dr. Choti comes to Arizona from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Choti earned his medical degree at Yale University followed by surgical residency and surgical oncology fellowship training at the University of Pennsylvania and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. He earned an MBA from Johns Hopkins in 2004. 

His contributions to medical education, clinical research, medical journal publications and surgical leadership are extensive and nationally known.

Dr. Choti is an expert in the management of patients with liver, pancreatic, and other gastrointestinal cancers. He will begin at Banner MD Anderson on March 15.
