Specialists in gastroenterology now see patients in Brush and Sterling

BRUSH, Colo. – Brush and Sterling area patients with stomach, liver or digestive issues or in need of screening colonoscopies can make appointments with Banner Health specialists locally beginning in March.

Banner Health gastroenterologists Ahmed Sherif, MD, and Eric Wingerson, DO, will see patients in Brush and Sterling respectively.

Dr. Sherif will see patients in Brush on the second Tuesday of the month with his first visits scheduled Tuesday, March 14. Banner Health Clinic in Brush is at 2400 W. Edison.

In Sterling, Dr. Wingerson will have appointments on the fourth Tuesday of the month with the first patients being seen Tuesday, March 28. In Sterling, he will see patients at 1405 S. Eighth Ave. Suite 104.

Dr. Sherif works at Banner Health Clinic specializing in gastroenterology and internal medicine in Greeley. He earned his medical degree at Al-Fateh University School of Medicine in Tripoli, Libya. He completed a residency at Montefiore Medical Center, in Bronx, N.Y., and a fellowship at University of Michigan Health System in Ann Arbor, Mich. He is board-certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine.

Dr. Sherif also speaks Arabic. In his spare time he enjoys soccer, chess, skiing, scuba diving and travel.

Dr. Wingerson also specializes in gastroenterology and internal medicine in the Greeley clinic. He received his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Mo. He completed a residency at Grandview Hospital and Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio, and a fellowship in gastroenterology at Midwestern University-Franciscan St. James Health in Olympia Fields, Ill. He is board-certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine.

In his free time he spends time with his family and friends. He also gardens, reads, fishes, skis, enjoys music and taking photos.
