New physician joins Banner Health Center in Fernley

FERNLEY, Nev. – Primary care services are expanding with a new physician joining Banner Health Center in Fernley.  

After officially starting practice on Aug. 1, Wade Anderson, MD, will specialize in Family Medicine. Dr. Anderson comes to Fernley from Reno, Nev., where he practiced urgent care. Prior to that, he practiced medicine for 10 years in Iowa at UnityPoint Health.

“There is a strong need for primary care in rural areas like Fernley,” said Dr. Anderson. “I feel privileged to be working at Banner Health Center and look forward to making a difference in patient’s lives.” 

Dr. Anderson earned his doctorate from University of Iowa and completed his residency from Mercy Health System Family Practice in Janesville, Wis. Dr. Anderson is licensed to practice medicine in Nevada and is board certified in Family Medicine. He is also a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. 

Banner Health Center is located at 1260 Nevada Pacific Blvd., Fernley, Nev. In addition to family medicine, internal medicine, maternity, orthopedics, surgery and some specialties are also offered. Dr. Anderson is accepting new patients. To make an appointment, please call (775) 575-7171.
