New water main and hydrants enhance everyday service and emergency response

MILTON, Pa. (May 13, 2026)Pennsylvania American Water has completed a $620,000 water main improvement project in Point Township, Northumberland County, replacing more than 2,000 feet of aging pipe along King Street between 8th Street and 15th Street, to improve service reliability and fire protection.

“The work completed in Point Township reflects our commitment to delivering dependable water service and supporting the communities we serve,” said Jeremy Resseguie, manager of operations, Pennsylvania American Water. “By replacing aging infrastructure with modern pipe, we are providing increased reliability and fire protection today and into the future.”

The project also included installing two new fire hydrants to improve access to water for firefighting and enhance public safety in the area, as well as reconnecting 36 customer service lines to support reliable water service for nearby homes and businesses. Final roadway resurfacing is expected to be completed by late June.
