Boil Water Advisory Lifted for Customers in Portion of Pennsylvania American Water’s Ceasetown System

SCRANTON, Pa. (March 23, 2026) Pennsylvania American Water announced this morning that the boil water advisory for customers in Courtdale and Pringle boroughs in Luzerne County has been lifted. Customers were notified on March 21, 2026, of the loss of positive water pressure, resulting in the issuance of the boil water advisory. We are pleased to report that the issue has been resolved.

This notice applies to approximately 536 customer connections along the following streets:

  • Courtdale Avenue                         
  • Albert Street
  • Roy Street
  • Barry Street
  • Yank Street
  • Grey Street
  • Harrington Street
  • Victoria Drive
  • White Rock Terrace
  • Cooper Street
  • Maddens Lane
  • Valley View Drive
  • North N Street
  • North Center Street
  • Evans Street
  • Flanagan Street
  • Courtright Street
  • Pringle Street
  • Hoyt Street
  • Connor Street
  • Roosevelt Street
  • North Street
  • Helen Court
  • Bryden Court
  • Hill Street

Samples were collected on March 21, 2026, and March 22, 2026, with acceptable test results received on March 23, 2026. The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has authorized lifting the advisory.
