MONTREAL, May 3 /CNW Telbec/ - Air Canada announced today that it will
expand its network in Newfoundland and Labrador with the start up of two new,
daily non-stop fights between St. John's and Deer Lake, effective June 30,
2007. Flights will be operated by Air Canada's commercial partner Exploits
Valley Air Services (EVAS) using an 18-seat Beech 1900 aircraft.
    "Air Canada and its commercial partners already have the most flights of
any carrier to and from Newfoundland and Labrador," said Daniel Shurz, Vice
President, Network Planning, Air Canada. "With these latest schedule
enhancements, including our first flight between Deer Lake and Toronto
tomorrow, both business and leisure travellers will enjoy more and better
connections, Aeroplan rewards, and an opportunity to use our growing suite of
flight passes for convenience and savings."
    Flights have been timed to accommodate demand early in the day as well as

Air Canada and Air Canada Jazz offer up to 200 scheduled flights to 11
destinations across Canada each week to and from Newfoundland and Labrador.
Air Canada also provides non-stop daily flights between Deer Lake and Halifax
and Deer Lake and Montreal.
