Today, AARP announced the 115 banks, credit unions and financial advisory firms that earned a seal from AARP recognizing the steps they’ve taken to stop financial exploitation. A list of the financial organizations that earned the 2022 seal can be found at aarp.org/banksafe.

Today, Google.org announced a $10 million grant to AARP Foundation to provide technology and digital skills training to 25,000 people with low income age 50 and older, with a focus on women and people of color.
AARP invites local organizations and governments across the country to apply for the 2022 AARP Community Challenge grant program, now through March 22. Grants fund quick-action projects that help communities become more livable in the long-term by improving public spaces, transportation, housing, civic engagement, diversity and inclusion, and more. Now in its sixth year, the program is part of AARP’s nationwide Livable Communities initiative, which supports the efforts of cities, towns, neighborhoods and rural areas to become great places to live.

Today, AARP launched the AARP Veterans and Military Spouses Job Center, a new digital platform bringing together valuable information and resources to help veterans and military spouses compete in today’s job market. The job center includes a new Veterans Career Advantage Course to build on career planning and skills development to help navigate the job market. According to an AARP survey, more than half (56%) of employers say experience and the use of skills in previous positions are 'very important' when evaluating applicant's skills.
